Arrive Leh airport, our representative will meet, assist and transfer to the hotel in Leh. Rest of the day free to acclimatize to the high altitude of Ladakh. In the evening you may take a walk to the local market but we highly recommend to give complete rest to the body. Overnight at Leh.
Day start with Hall of Fame, which was constructed by the Indian Army to commemorate the sacrifice of soldiers during Indo-Pak wars. Mahakal Temple and Spituk Gompa - an 11th century structure , Next on the list of attractions is the majestic Gurudwara Patthar Sahib. Nestled deep in the Himalayas, it was constructed by the Lamas of Leh in 1517 to honour the visit of Guru Nanak Dev - the founder of the Sikh faith. Drive another few km to witness the magic of Magnetic Hill that defies the law of gravity. It has been noticed that when a vehicle is parked on neutral gear on this metallic road, it seems to slide up and further. Driving through a picturesque landscape, we reach the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar River (Sangam). Return to hotel via same route. In the evening, you may take a walk around the beautiful town and explore the local flavors it offers to the visitor.
After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the world, 18,380 ft). On the way visit Desert Himalaya Adventure Park where you can have lunch and enjoy adventure activities like World’s longest High Altitude Zip line and ATV ride at Khalsar sand dunes (activities on direct payment basis) Arrive at your destination and check in to the hotel/camp. Later visit 108 ft high Maitriya Buddha Statue at Diskit monastery and Hunder Sand Dunes where you can enjoy double humped camel ride (on direct payment basis) Return to your resort/camp for overnight stay.
After Breakfast leave for Pangong Lake (14,500 ft) through the Shayok River Valley. A beautiful drive of appox 04 hours and you’ll be at one of the most beautiful places of the planet. Spend some time around the lake visit the 03 Idiot shooting point, try local food at any of the small restaurant around the Lake shore., Later free time at Leisure and enjoy the colour changing lake and the sun set on the banks of lake. Overnight stay at the camp at Pangong area.
After an early breakfast drive to Hanle. Hanle in changthang region of Ladakh is one of the most beautifull calm and soul loosing places in India. Hanle has a lovely monastery offering some great aerial views of whole village that is a home of about 1000 people. Hanle monastery is a 17th century monastery of the Drukpa lineage of the Kagyu school of Tibetan buddhism. Monastery is home to about 60 monks. The main monastery, one of the largest and best known of ladakh’s monasteries, was built under the protange of the king Singe Namgyal. The views from the top of monastery are just breath taking. Hanle is also house an Indian astronomical observatory which is one of the world’s highest observatory at a staggering height of 4500 mtrs. Overnight in local Homestay.
After a wonderful starry night at the homestay, we leave for Changthang plateau of the Rupshu Valley. You ride on the same road till Loma. You are sure gonna get dirty in the dusty earthen road. You start riding along the beautiful valley of the Indus River till Mahe. The road will turn comfortable to ride with few rough patches surrounded by spectacular brown mountains. En route Leh, you get to see a small but beautiful town of Chumathang. The road width of the road will increase as the river size mammoths. You will reach Leh without hiccups. Overnight at Leh hotel.
Early morning transfer to Leh airport to board flight back to destination.
