Upon arrival in Madurai, you’ll be picked up and transferred to your hotel. Begin your sightseeing tour with the magnificent Meenakshi Amman Temple, one of India’s most important pilgrimage sites, known for its stunning architecture and intricate sculptures. Continue to Thirumalai Nayak Palace, an elegant 17th-century palace with beautiful arches and dome structures. If time permits, you can also visit the Gandhi Memorial Museum. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Madurai.
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed to Rameswaram. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax before visiting the Ramanathaswamy Temple, renowned for its grand corridors and sacred significance as one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites. You may also visit Agni Theertham, a sacred beach where devotees take a holy dip. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Rameswaram.
After breakfast, continue exploring Rameswaram. Visit Dhanushkodi, the “Ghost Town” with its eerie ruins and fascinating views of the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean. Head to Gandhamadhana Parvatham, a hillock offering a panoramic view of Rameswaram and considered a significant spiritual site. You can also visit Pamban Bridge, the first sea bridge in India, to witness the unique railway bridge structure. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Rameswaram.
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and travel to Kanyakumari, the southernmost tip of India. Upon arrival, visit the iconic Vivekananda Rock Memorial, which offers spectacular views of the ocean and holds a significant spiritual value. Then proceed to the Thiruvalluvar Statue, a 133-foot tall statue dedicated to the famous Tamil poet and philosopher. Visit Kumari Amman Temple, dedicated to the goddess Kanya Kumari, and enjoy the sunset views over the confluence of the Bay of Bengal, Indian Ocean, and Arabian Sea. Overnight stay in Kanyakumari.
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and travel to Trivandrum. If time permits, you may visit Padmanabhapuram Palace en route, known for its splendid wooden architecture. Upon reaching Trivandrum, you will be dropped off at the airport or railway station for your onward journey, marking the end of a memorable trip.
